My approach combines deep technical expertise, with lived experience working directly with industry, authenticity and entrepreneurial thinking. Projects have included developing metrics that balance scientific merit with simple scoring systems to ensure that investors’ ESG objectives translate into outcomes and that ESG risks are apparent pre-iinvestment. SeaBright Solutions has also provided varied forms technical assistance to fund investees post-investment, across capture fisheries, aquaculture and mariculture.

Emerging Issues, Climate Adaptation and Food Systems Analysis: Authored peer-reviewed research examining climate and GHG emissions associated with alternative versus traditional seafood and other center plate proteins for the Good Food Institute. For the Global Funder for Coral Reefs, SeaBright Solutions has worked to design pragmatic metrics that can measure climate adaptation and resilience objectives.

International Program Development: Successfully executed projects across diverse geographic and cultural contexts, from Small Island Developing States to major Asian markets. Developed sustainable fisheries reform strategies for small island developing nations, and have conducted field assessments of wild capture fisheries, aquaculture and mariculture in over 20 countries. Previous work included establishing multiple non-English language capacity teams to serve international markets for Scientific Certification Systems.

Stakeholder Facilitation Across Sectors: Demonstrated success facilitating complex negotiations from ministerial levels to rural village settings, with proven ability to navigate translation requirements and cultural sensitivities. Recent work includes co-organizing technical workshops for the Inter-American Tropical Tuna Commission (IATTC) and providing management consulting for Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Global Ocean Conservation team.

Government and International Organization Collaboration: Extensive experience working with government agencies and international bodies, including developing trade regulation tools for the CITES Secretariat and supporting UNDP initiatives.
